2026 - A Decade of Cross-Border Excellence, Recognised Again

2026 marks a year of extraordinary dual milestones for Metis Global Group (“Metis” or the “Group”). Metis has once again been recognised with the “Trustee Service Excellence Award” at the Bloomberg Businessweek/Chinese Edition Financial Institution Awards, marking the Group's seventh time receiving this distinction. This recognition reflects Metis' strong asset protection capabilities amid turbulent market cycles, as well as its excellence in cross-border compliance. This prestigious international recognition not only reflects the Group’s unshakeable leading position within the Asia-Pacific trust industry, but also bears witness to the trust we have earned through years of dedicated service.

Concurrently, its subsidiary, Metis Global (Cook Islands) Limited (“Metis CI”), officially celebrates the major milestone of its 10th anniversary. As a licensed trust company strictly regulated by the Cook Islands Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), Metis CI has successfully leveraged the Cook Islands' world-renowned trust legislation to provide clients with greater protection and peace of mind for their multinational asset allocations over the past decade. This decade of cross-border development has not only laid a solid Asia-Pacific foundation for the Group, but has also evolved into one of the most reliable compliance models in the international trust market.

Building Resilience for an Uncertain Future

Faced with drastic shifts in the global political and economic landscape, global market unpredictability has gradually become the norm, testing the depth and adaptability of enterprises. Amid this challenging era, Metis early on recognised that wealth management has evolved beyond asset growth to focus on cross-border asset protection, while international tax compliance standards and cross-border transparency requirements have risen year by year. To this end, Metis strategically positioned itself in advance, upgrading its core service from traditional asset custody to a higher level of “legal defence”. We firmly believe that only by maintaining a clear compliance vision amid uncertainty and equipping assets with robust “legal resilience” can we weather cycles and construct an indestructible moat of long-term value for our clients.

Cross-Jurisdictional Synergy, Constructing a Global Protection Network

As cross-border regulatory requirements become increasingly stringent, relying solely on a single jurisdiction or a single asset allocation is no longer sufficient to mitigate systemic risks. Through strategic positioning in key jurisdictions such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Cook Islands, Metis has demonstrated strong multi-regional synergies this year.

Dr German Cheung, Founder and Chairman of Metis, noted: “Winning this award for the seventh time, alongside the 10th anniversary of Metis CI, symbolises our success in weathering market cycles. Today in 2026, a trust is no longer merely a tool for wealth distribution; it is a firewall protecting family legacy and future vision. We pursue not only depth of professionalism but also resilience in service, ensuring that no matter how the external environment changes, the trust our clients place in us remains as solid as a rock.”

To translate this “asset resilience” into localised services that cater closely to our clients, our business development team began collaborating closely with our local team in Singapore at the end of last year. Through the integration of regional resources and innovative combinations, we precisely address the profound needs of Greater China clients by tailoring a new dimension of asset allocation solutions. These efforts have earned the recognition and support of our partners and clients, enabling us to expand further into Mainland China and broaden our business footprint.

Pioneering Asia-Pacific, Defining New Benchmarks for Trust Services

Earning our seventh recognition is a testament to our strength, whilst a decade of cross-border development represents our long-term commitment to our clients. Metis will continue to leverage its multi-jurisdictional synergies to lead the trust industry in achieving a perfect equilibrium between financial technology innovation and rigorous legal frameworks. We will continue to honour the trust of our global clients with an elevated standard of professional defence and legal protection, moving forward in the financial market with strength and vision to achieve sustainable intergenerational wealth succession.
